At Brighter Futures we want you to be part of our family that makes a difference to children and young people
There can be many myths around fostering teenagers and they are frequently, and wrongly, seen as the hardest group to foster. HOWEVER, age has little relevance to the challenges young people can present their Foster Families. Supporting a teenager through to further education, university, apprenticeships and independence is extremely rewarding. There is a huge percentage of very successful teenage Foster Placements where the young people are thriving and enjoying very positive outcomes, all thanks to their Foster Families. Many of our young people stay in contact with their carers and return for years, even if it's just for Sunday lunch.
At Brighter Futures we are very careful to match the needs of the children we place with the skills and abilities of our families. You will have a full say in the which children are placed with you and your family. We also offer in depth training and support from skilled and experienced social workers to make both yours and the young person's experience of fostering as positive as we can.
If you'd like to find out more about Fostering Teenagers or would like to find out more, feel free to contact us for an informal chat on 0800 882 4402 or fill in our enquiry form and we will get back in touch with you.
